Kapsch TrafficCom RIS-9360 Roadside Unit earns OmniAir certification
- Certification paves way for scalable V2X infrastructure
Duluth, GA – September 1 25, 2025 – Kapsch TrafficCom has earned OmniAir Certification for its latest-generation RIS-9360 Cellular-Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) Roadside Unit (RSU).
The achievement not only reinforces Kapsch TrafficCom as a trusted leader in connected vehicle infrastructure, but also marks a critical advancement for the widespread deployment of vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication.
This certification confirms the RIS-9360’s compliance with LTE-V2X (RSU) Release 1 test specifications which means the RSU meets rigorous communication, performance and interoperability standards for C-V2X devices. For agencies, this certification provides a vital assurance of reliability and compatibility.

Kapsch TrafficCom will continue working with OmniAir to advance connected vehicle tolling, supporting SAE J2735 and J3217 message sets, including Toll Advertisement Messages (TAM) and Toll User Messages (TUM). The RIS-9360 also supports a wide range of safety and mobility applications, including:
