Application Centers

Application Centers serve a specific market segment. In this area our mission is to define, develop and manage the products and solutions in their area of responsibility, working closely with product management and the sales regions. In our two application centers (tolling, traffic), we work with agile methodologies and use technologies such as cloud computing, machine learning and computer vision.

Solution Management

Technology & Platforms

Our Technology & Platforms team is a cross-functional organization that drives technology innovation and harmonization globally, developing and integrating new innovative solutions and platforms across multiple domains. We also provide and manage global development tools and IPR (Intellectual Property Rights) support. In addition, Technology & Platforms strengthens and shares expertise and resources with all Application Centers.



Our Operations teams keep our solutions running efficiently and effectively. From both a technical and commercial perspective, operations teams ensure that contracts are fulfilled. We are the primary interface with our customers during the operations phase of a project. Our specialists increase efficiency, reduce operational costs and risks, and increase contract volume through active change management. We operate and maintain tolling, traffic management and toll service systems.



Our Delivery teams are project management professionals who are responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of customer projects within scope, schedule and cost. We own the project methodology and strive to continuously improve project delivery processes within Kapsch TrafficCom.



Our Sales teams sell our solutions, products and services to our customers, primarily government agencies or concessionaires and prime contractors (i.e., private companies acting on behalf of a government agency). We develop sales strategies to maintain existing markets and develop new ones, initiate and coordinate pre-sales and bidding activities, and develop and maintain customer relationships and an ecosystem of partners. Sales also actively contributes to our global go-to-market strategy by reporting market needs to our technology departments using our corporate tools.


Supply Chain Management

Our Supply Chain Management and Procurement teams work with clearly defined sourcing strategies and actively collaborate with Sales, Product Management and R&D to ensure the supply of materials and services on time and at efficient cost anywhere in the world. We optimize our working capital by managing our inventory and logistics processes, developing our supplier network and negotiating contracts to secure the best possible terms and conditions.



Our Manufacturing teams are experts in electronics manufacturing, automated assembly, system testing, RF testing, repairs, upgrades, laboratory services, and test system development. We operate under a lean manufacturing program that includes concepts such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, PFMEA and Kaizen. Our global manufacturing facilities supply key components such as automotive products, RF field products, or video and sensor products.



Legal provides solution-oriented legal advice to support the company's global business activities. This includes working on public and private tenders and contracts, as well as many other areas of law such as competition law or IPR, providing legal support for projects and negotiations, and handling corporate law and M&A projects. We manage relationships with external law firms and set standards for the handling of legal matters.



Our Finance teams act as active partners to the business, providing the financial intelligence to optimize our financial position. We challenge the business to deliver better results and provide a strategic framework for decision making.



Our internal global IT team is responsible for the design, deployment and operation of the company's IT infrastructure, applications and tools. We ensure and guarantee the operational reliability of our IT systems, enabling a smooth workflow within the company and for all external stakeholders.


Marketing & Communications

Marketing and Communications is the voice of our company, both internally and externally. We promote our portfolio through a variety of channels and tools with the overall objective of generating demand and awareness.


Human Resources

Our Human Resources teams shape the way people work, collaborate and grow at Kapsch TrafficCom. We work side-by-side with our business to ensure smooth and user-friendly tools, processes and experiences, such as recruiting, career mobility, workplace flexibility, learning and rewards.
