Diversity, equality and inclusion at Kapsch TrafficCom

As a global company, we work to support the exchange of ideas and collaboration among our diverse workforce and to promote the enormous potential of our international and intercultural teams. We place great emphasis on education and awareness-raising and provide the necessary resources to promote mutual understanding and appreciation.

diversity@Kapsch

Kapsch TrafficCom employs people of different genders, ages, views and beliefs worldwide. The employees are of different origins, have different cultural and religious backgrounds, different sexual orientations and different mental and physical abilities. The various initiatives in the Kapsch Group to promote diversity and inclusion are bundled under the overall concept diversity@kapsch in order to tackle the various dimensions together.

One example of Kapsch TrafficCom's focus on diversity is Responsible Annotation.

Responsible annotation

in 2019, Kapsch TrafficCom created the "Responsible Annotation Team". This initiative enables people with disabilities to provide value-adding services in the field of annotation as part of a training or employment relationship.

What is annotation?

Annotation is the attachment of information and labels to data and is one of the basic requirementsfor modern artificial intelligence. For Kapsch TrafficCom, this is particularlyessentialfor applications in the areas of automatic license plate recognitionand vehicle classification.

Following the pilot project, the non-profit association Responsible Annotation was founded in September 2022, with which Kapsch TrafficCom works closely. Another inclusive annotation team was also set up in Latin America.

The award-winning initiative shows that inclusion at Kapsch TrafficCom is not just an end in itself, but provides real added value and contributes to the company's success.

women@kapsch

Workshop women@kapsch

Another focus of diversity@kapsch is cooperation between men and women. Measures to promote women, bundled under the title women@kapsch, are intended to ensure that management and expert positions are increasingly filled by women and that Kapsch TrafficCom achieves a balanced ratio.

In general, when selecting candidates for leadership and management positions, attention is paid to filling positions in the best possible way - only professional and social skills, experience and the ability to work in a team count here.
