Presentation: Holistic Toll Capture – Enabling smarter, more affordable tolling
Holistic Toll Capture utilizes AI to add a smart layer onto an existing tolling system, or set up a lean tolling system in corridors that were previously not feasible due to physical and/or budgetary limitations. Using passage fusion, Holistic Toll Capture is able to capture a full trip of any one vehicle along a corridor for accurate charging and minimal human intervention. The algorithms present mean that manual validation rates are reduced, meaning both CAPEX and OPEX are lower than in a traditional tolling setup. This opens the door for more cities and regions to implement tolling systems at a lower price point, leading to better roads and mobility for all users.

Key Focus Topics

  • Holistic Toll Capture (HoTCap)

Holistic Toll Capture introduces a new approach to tolling by applying artificial intelligence as a smart layer across existing infrastructure—or enabling entirely new, lean deployments where traditional systems were not feasible.

By combining data from multiple detection points (“passage fusion”), HoTCap captures complete vehicle journeys along a corridor. This enables accurate charging with minimal manual intervention, significantly reducing validation efforts and operational costs. The result is a more efficient and cost-effective tolling system that opens the door for broader adoption—supporting improved road funding and mobility.

  • Lean Video

Lean Video complements modern tolling systems by providing a streamlined, infrastructure-light way to support vehicle detection and enforcement.

Designed to minimize hardware requirements while maintaining high performance, Lean Video helps operators reduce deployment complexity and costs, while ensuring reliable capture and verification. This makes it an ideal solution for expanding tolling coverage to new corridors and use cases.

  • EcoTrafiX 4.0

EcoTrafiX 4.0 represents the next generation of integrated traffic management. By combining real-time data, analytics, and connected vehicle capabilities in a unified platform, it enables operators to monitor, manage, and optimize traffic more effectively.

With advanced decision support and predictive capabilities, EcoTrafiX helps cities improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and enhance overall network performance—laying the foundation for smarter and more sustainable mobility systems.
