The XVIII Smart City Forum is the most important congress in Poland devoted to the functioning and development of smart cities.

This year's spring edition will take place on May 28-29 in Wroclaw. Experts from industries such as transportation, construction, energy, and data science will meet with government and municipal decision-makers from across the country to discuss the future of smart cities..

Traffic in Poland's major urban centers has become increasingly congested in recent years. In addition to wasted time, vehicles stuck in traffic contribute to some of the worst air pollution in Europe, according to the European Environment Agency, with particulate matter regularly exceeding acceptable levels in many Polish cities.

As the strategic partner of the event, Kapsch TrafficCom will present smart city solutions that can analyze data from multiple sources and thus help cities to take smart mobility decisions.

In particular, we will share our experiences and successes in projects related to leveraging the increasing amount of data already available from multiple sources that can be collected and analyzed in real time to provide a clear picture of traffic conditions. With the Mobility Data Platform from Kapsch TrafficCom, cities such as Seville, Madrid, Vienna, Melbourne and Dallas are using the available data to proactively and digitally manage traffic in their cities.

Folder “Innovating for a greener future: 3 solutions to reduce vehicle emissions”

Effective traffic and demand management requires rapid innovation across a city's road and technology infrastructure. Data from multiple sources can be collected and analyzed in real time to provide a clear picture of traffic conditions, and cross-referenced with historical data to predict demand, both in the near future and during regular peak periods.

With the Mobility Data Platform from Kapsch TrafficCom, cities such as Seville, Madrid, Vienna, Melbourne and Dallas are using the available data to proactively and digitally manage traffic in their cities.

Transportation is the fastest growing source of global emissions that negatively impact air quality, especially in urban areas.                 Kapsch TrafficCom offers a new way to reduce traffic demand and improve traffic flow on congested roads. It also influences drivers to moderate and change their road use behavior, freeing up road space for greener transportation alternatives.
