Steve Sprouffske
Steve Sprouffske has worked in the connected vehicle industry for more than 15 years, spanning system deployment and product development through to the standards work that makes interoperability between vehicles and infrastructure possible.
At Kapsch TrafficCom he leads the North America connected vehicle business, with responsibility running across both the commercial and technical span of the portfolio: business development and commercial strategy on one side; solutions consulting, system design and integration, and product requirements on the other. Standards development sits alongside both — a reflection of how far connected vehicle deployment depends on shared specifications rather than proprietary implementations.
He has held positions in numerous connected vehicle standards bodies, including Chair of ISO TC 204 WG 16, and has contributed to work at SAE and ITU. He holds a BA in Computer Science and a master's degree in business.
His articles cover connected vehicle technology, V2X standards and interoperability, ITS system integration, and connected vehicle deployment across North America.
