Application procedure & data protection

How can I apply for a job at Kapsch TrafficCom?

The fastest way is through the portal. Here you can create your personal profile and attach all documents for your application.

Please fill in all fields! Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are mandatory and must be completed before you can proceed with your application.

Now you can add a photo, certificates and other important documents as PDF files.

Submit the application! You will immediately receive a confirmation of receipt by email. Please allow us some time to process your application.

Can I apply for multiple jobs at the same time?

Of course you can. We like to see our candidates interested in different areas. We are also happy to receive unsolicited applications with details of your professional expectations.

What documents should I include in my application?

Convince us with a convincing letter of motivation, a detailed and clear résumé, certificates and references, information on further education and project or thesis work! The more information we have, the better we can evaluate and process your application.

How will I know if my online application has been received?

If your application is successful, you will receive a confirmation of receipt immediately.

Can I make changes or exchange documents after I have submitted my application?

Yes, you can do so at any time through your account.

How does the selection process work and how long will it take for me to be notified?

The Kapsch TrafficCom HR team will review your application and, if necessary, contact the relevant department. Please be patient! You will receive feedback within two to three weeks. Depending on the type of position, an application questionnaire or an assessment center may be used in the selection process. In this case, the process will take a little longer. In either case, you will be notified in writing.

How does an interview take place and what is the procedure?

If your application is strong, you will be invited to an interview with members of the human resources and business units. The interview usually takes about an hour. Be sure to plan enough time! The purpose of the interview is to find out more about you as a person and your knowledge/skills, as well as to get to know each other.

I currently live abroad. Can I have an online interview?

Yes, initial interviews can also be conducted over the phone or via MS Teams.

Who can I contact if I have any questions about the application process?

You will find the contact information in the job posting itself. We will be happy to answer any questions you may have about your application.

Will my application be kept confidential?

Of course. Without your permission, we will not contact anyone outside the Kapsch Group / Kapsch TrafficCom. Even within Kapsch TrafficCom, your application will only be passed on for the purpose of checking possible employment opportunities.

We attach great importance to confidentiality and data protection in our application processes, which is why the data you submit is treated in the strictest confidence.

You may withdraw your consent to this privacy policy at any time. By withdrawing your consent, you automatically withdraw your application to Kapsch.

By submitting your application and agreeing to the data protection declaration, you agree that the data submitted by you may be stored and processed as part of the application process. This applies to all data transmitted, including the documents sent. The data will be stored in the applicant database and processed by Kapsch TrafficCom itself and its affiliates.

Global trainee program for university graduates

What is the Global Graduate Trainee Program?

Our Global Graduate Trainee Program is a development program that provides recent graduates with practical experience, insight and training in various areas of our business.

When should I apply for the Global Graduate Trainee Program and when does it start?

The Global Graduate Trainee Program is advertised each year in April and starts at the beginning of October.

What is the profile of a Graduate Trainee?

University graduates with a Master's degree in a relevant technical or business field who are fluent in English; other languages (e.g. Spanish) are an advantage. International experience, either through study and/or work, is an advantage. It is important that the trainee is open to working in many different roles and departments, has an intrinsic drive to learn and enjoys working internationally.

How does the selection process work?

After your online application, the selection process usually includes a short questionnaire and an interview with the Talent Acquisition Partners, followed by an assessment by managers and/or experts, HR and current trainees.

Is there a cap on the number of trainees accepted each year?

The number of trainees accepted can vary from year to year, depending on the company's needs. Typically, we accept 2 to 4 trainees each year.

How long is the program?

The Global Graduate Trainee Program lasts 24 months and consists of four stations (=positions), in each of which the trainee spends approximately 6 months. The first station is pre-determined and usually takes place at the headquarters in Vienna, the next stations are chosen by the trainees themselves in their respective home countries and a further station abroad.

Is the program a permanent position?

Yes, graduate trainees are offered a permanent contract. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be placed in a key role that matches your interests, skills and ambitions. We are committed to your long-term success within the Kapsch TrafficCom Group.

Is the program full-time?

Yes, the program is a full-time position. Trainees are expected to work regular hours and actively participate in all training and work tasks. However, the working hours are split 80:20 between the station and trainee activities (e.g. seminars, trainee project).

Who takes care of the visa, work permit and accommodation at a foreign location?

Our HR and Travel Management team will take care of all matters such as visas, work permits, accommodation and flights. All these costs for an international assignment are covered by Kapsch TrafficCom.
