As a DevOps Engineer at Kapsch, you will be responsible for providing ongoing build, deployment, and CI/CD pipeline support for various transportation-related products.
In this role, you will help develop and institute an automated and repeatable CI/CD framework for our software suites. We are looking for innovative thinkers who can architect creative solutions and also identify opportunities for new tools, processes, and systems. You will also bring a fresh perspective on how SDLC should be done from test-driven development to Continuous Integration and Delivery.
Your responsibilities:
- Create and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for multiple products.
- Develop scripts and code for extensive test and deployment coverage.
- Automate processes to improve efficiency.
- Create IaC for the deployment of various environments.
- Work with development teams across the globe to implement DevOps practices.
Your profile:
- 3+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
- Experience creating infrastructure as code (Terraform/OpenTofu preferred)
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with configuration management tools such as GitLab or GitHub
- Experience with cloud platforms and services such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Experience with container management tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, and AKS
- Advanced level of English language
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Team player with strong troubleshooting skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with Loki, Grafana, Prometheus, and Keycloak
- Experience performing system builds using Maven
- Experience with threat detection, security protocols, security audits, and security scanning tools
- Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or Oracle
- Familiarity with programming in languages such as Java, dotnet, Python, or Rust
- Atlassian Tool Suite experience (Jira and Confluence)
- Experience with Agile Methodology and Scrum practices
- Proficiency with Linux command line, shell scripting, and PowerShell
- Certifications in appropriate technologies or methodologies
