We have an exciting full-time opportunity for an experienced Systems Tester to join our professional team in Melbourne. This position is ideally suited to a self-motivated leader, hands-on individual who will work in all stages of our projects.
We have an excellent permanent opportunity based in Melbourne for a Senior Systems Tester to join our APAC engineering test team. As a Tester you will be responsible for preparing, coordinating and executing test activities for Kapsch mission critical system infrastructure ensuring the highest levels of quality.
Your responsibilities:
Execute On-Site Acceptance tests, System Integration tests and Operation readiness tests.
Create and update Testing documentation according to the Project requirements.
Identify potential test issues and develop corrective action plans.
Report to the relevant project manager and take their direction regarding project-related activities.
Manage and follow up resolution of system defects.
Support the planning and organization of testing activities for the project.
Support the definition of the strategy and scope of testing within the context of the project requirements.
Communicate Test progress and issues to the Test Manager.
Address customer and stakeholder queries on system behavior through data analysis in accordance with requirements.
Support improvement of the internal processes regarding testing procedures and activities.
Travel as required and directed by the Test Manager.
Great communication skills.
Co-ordinate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.
Your profile:
Tertiary Degree engineering or related qualification.
Proven working experience in testing in high reliability systems covering all areas of the testing lifecycle in an engineering, automation or construction industry.
Detailed understanding of testing methodologies, testing life cycle and the purpose and requirements for various types of testing e.g. Unit Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Regression Testing, etc.
Understanding on System /Test Development Life Cycle and Defect management process.
Excellent skills and knowledge on writing Test Plans, Test scenario identification(Business cases), Test case writing, Test Execution, defect life cycle and test reporting.
IT competent.
Experience with Testing and ticketing management tools Jira/Zepher/ALM.
Excelled knowledge on Testing techniques / terms / methodologies
Current Australian full driver’s license.
