Core Skills:
Linux Systems:
- Moderate-level experience with Linux environments (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL), with the ability to manage monitoring agents, tune performance, and automate recurring tasks using Bash and Python scripts.
Monitoring & Observability:
- Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana or Grafana Loki for metrics collection, alerting, and dashboard creation.
- In-depth knowledge and experience of Nagios or Icinga for log analysis, event correlation, and service health monitoring.
- Experience of SIEM and security logs analysis tools, Splunk preferred
Visualization & Reporting:
- Design of intuitive dashboards in Grafana to provide real-time visibility into system performance, uptime, and error trends.
Containers & Container Orchestration:
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and microservices in general. Deploy, maintain and support monitoring container services.
Alerting & Incident Response:
- Skilled in troubleshooting and RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for infrastructure and application-level issues
Documentation & Collaboration:
- Strong writer of clear, structured, and user-friendly documentation for monitoring setups, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
- Works collaboratively with various teams to drive observability standards and best practices.
Experience & qualifications required:
- Solid knowledge of Linux administration
- Deep expertise in implementing and managing robust monitoring stacks including Icinga/Grafana or Nagios.
- Very familiar with building scalable observability solutions and delivering high-quality technical documentation.
- Drives operational clarity and team collaboration and efficiency.
- Min of 3-5 years’ experience in an IT monitoring environment with ITIL Foundational level.
- Advanced English level
