The Role:
The Systems validation Engineer is responsible for managing the entire testing cycle for multimillion tolling projects, tracing requirements from definition through factory, installation, commissioning, and operational test phases. The position includes defining and creating all testing documentation (test plans, test suites, test cases and test reports), executing scripted scenarios at our test track (involving real vehicles), organizing all testing needs (vehicles, drivers, transponders, auditors), executing tests in live systems on the field at our customer’s sites (located in different states into the US), as well as operational monitoring and analysis of these tolling systems from our office.
This position does require the willingness and ability to travel approximately 30%, mainly in US.
Responsibilities:
Develop master test plans, test procedures, test scenarios, test cases and test reports
Update the requirement traceability matrix mapping client requirements to test scenarios
Execute test plans at our test track, on the field at our customer’s sites, and/or at the office
Analyze validation test data to determine whether systems and/or processes have met validation criteria
Identify root causes of problems
Work with clients and senior management as the face of the system
Coordinate the implementation or scheduling of validation testing with affected departments and personnel
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or other relevant education
Superior English writing, typing, and communication skills having worked directly with clients, external and internal stakeholders.
Experience writing long, complex documentation
Superior MS-Office Suite skills including MS Word, Excel, and Visio
Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30%, mainly in US, and comfortable working outdoors and nights when needed.
Desire to learn new skills and improve existing ones
Experience working on complex software systems including as a Business Analyst or Developer Analyst role
Familiarity with programming languages (Python, Java, C, C++, or C#)
Familiarity with database technologies and SQL with preference in Oracle
Familiarity with executing formalized test cycles
