About the Role

This is a cross-functional leading position to develop, evolve, maintain and command operational platforms within traffic ecosystems, among others urban, interurban, open roads, tunnels, with or without connected vehicle broadcasting technology. In addition, such ecosystems might require incorporating AI algorithms for a more advanced traffic control and operation.

Responsible for the efficiency and user experience of the platform governance and strategy operations. Our goal is building modern, mature enough and intuitive modular platforms, focused on achieving high standards in non-functional requirements. We are committed to support our customers in the long-run, offering sounded updates and functionality upgrades, without “big-bang” reinstallations.

The platform team works on building global control platforms with operation tools. The team provides efficient solutions for multi-market and a variety of function combinations governance.

There are different platforms in operation requiring common standardization and convergence around key aspects, e.g. components integration, E2E testing, modularity, installation, configuration, non-functional requirements, cloud, infrastructure provisioning, among others.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall planning and building of platforms: core functionality, governance, system monitoring, building standards, NFRs, common UI, middle & backend, etc.
  • Capable of identifying common components among platforms, redefining them to reduce duplicities and standardize integration
  • Oversee the strategic development and execution of underlying technologies and systems that allow solutions to be built on top of it
  • Ensure platforms are:
    • Robust
    • Scalable
    • Capable of supporting different solutions that the company offers
    • Easily integrate with other systems
    • Safe and resilience to protect end-users who depend on the platform to conduct business
  • Provide seamless experience for both internal developers and external customers
  • Manage a broad set of technologies and services; seeks harmonisation of tech stacks
  • Excel in navigating the intersection of technology, business, and user experience
  • Balance between many different sets of priorities
  • Obsession about keeping roadmap and priorities up to date based on the long-term vision
  • Manage complex technical requirements like APIs and other platform components
  • Strong adherence to QA principles and seeker of automation, penetration, and performance tests
  • Prepare, maintain, and monitor respective budget

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or above
  • 10+ years of working experience as platform product manager. Great if the experience was achieved as system integrator within different customers requiring a wide variation of setups
  • Experience in middle and backend definition, open platforms, data workflow management in platforms, risk control, platform operation, cloud and other related work experience
  • Strong experience in defining and implementing non-functional requirements
  • Experience also in developing KPIs to monitor platform health
  • Strong sensitivity towards UX and fluid/intuitive operation for users at the platform console
  • Ability to work with structured product thinking while providing business acumen
  • Capable to articulate data driven product requirements, including discovery & improvement, with a focus on high-performance
  • The candidate can discover problems and opportunities and drive business growth
  • Able to articulate platform’s value proposition clearly and convincingly, driving buy-in from stakeholders across the organization
  • Strategic thinker, comfortable at exploring market trends and identify next moves to keep platforms up-to-date
