We are looking for an experienced accounting leader to head our Austrian accounting team. In this role, you will take full ownership of the accounting for all Austrian Kapsch Group companies, lead and develop a team of six, and ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting under both IFRS and Austrian GAAP (UGB). You will be a key partner to Controlling, Group Accounting, Treasury & Tax, auditors, and tax advisors, and will play an active role in shaping and optimizing our accounting processes.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Professional and disciplinary leadership and development of the accounting team
- Responsibility for the ongoing accounting of all Austrian companies within the Kapsch Group
- Timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS, including required notes
- Preparation of annual individual financial statements in accordance with Austrian GAAP (UGB)
- Ensuring compliance with all legal deadlines and accounting standards
- Close collaboration with auditors, tax advisors, authorities, and internal departments (Controlling, Group Accounting, Treasury & Tax)
- Management and coordination of all accounting processes
- Organization and continuous optimization of accounting processes.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Completed degree in business administration with a focus on accounting/finance or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in an international corporate environment
- Sound knowledge of IFRS and Austrian GAAP (UGB), as well as experience in preparing financial statements
- Demonstrable leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams
- Strong understanding of processes and a passion for optimization and efficiency improvement
- Proficient use of ERP systems (Infor knowledge is an advantage) and MS Office
- Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
- Strong communication skills, initiative, and a high sense of responsibility.
