We have an excellent permanent opportunity based in Melbourne for a Graduate Systems Engineer to join our APAC engineering team. As a Systems Engineer you will support the design and planning of new systems and upgrades and deliver mission critical tolling system infrastructure ensuring the highest levels of availability and performance.
Your responsibilities:
Conceptualisation and development of electrical systems from an initial idea through to implementation.
Preparation of engineering drawings and technical documents to support designs.
On-site Kapsch Roadside systems hardware and software installation, commissioning, and testing.
Systems troubleshooting and analysis to correct deficiencies, improve performance and ensure highest levels of availability.
Preparation of technical project documentation and procedures for implementation works.
Tracking, managing and reporting issues, internally and externally to Customers.
Support Customer queries ensuring to always represent Kapsch best interest.
Support project activities planning and organizing the roadside system activities and resources on-site.
About you
You are passionate about technology and enjoy learning at a fast pace.
You have a positive 'can do' attitude and possess great troubleshooting skills. You are a self-starter who takes accountability for your assigned tasks and enjoy new challenges.
You like having a mix of on-site and office work, are safety conscious and thrive working within a team, as well as individually.
You are willing to develop product and solution knowledge with guidance and formal training provided by Kapsch.
Your profile:
Degree in Electrical engineering.
Proficiency using CAD tools for electrical drafting, ideally AutoCAD.
Strong mathematical, analytical, problem solving, and creative thinking skills.
Availability for night work and work at heights – approximately 7 meters (for occasional requirements related to public installation).
General IT knowledge (Windows, Linux, Microsoft).
Hands-on and troubleshooting skills.
Current full Australian driver’s license (valid and unrestricted, not provisional).
General knowledge of Electrical, and OH & S Standards (plus).
