Your responsibilities

  • Manage the assigned test team according to project organization
  • Define and optimize the test strategy for our tolling solutions as well as test strategy for customer projects
  • Prepare and release the test strategy (incl. test automation, required test stages), test plan (including risk assessment) and test specification based on approved requirements in scope of the project
  • Ensure that the test strategy and test plan are followed
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor the defined internal and/or external test activities (e.g. customer acceptance) including associated costs for the defined test stages in cooperation with the project core team (PM, LSE, INT etc.)
  • Create and ensure an up-to-date Traceability Matrix (traceability between approved requirements and test cases and traceability between test cases, test results and defects) for the project
  • Requests and coordinates preparation of test environment
  • Reports test status including test results and current quality status
  • Ensures that the test related processes are followed within the project
  • Continuously improves testing related processes, methods and competence (including tools competence) relevant for the project
  • Prepare bid proposals for test and acceptance relevant parts in cooperation with the bid team

 Your profile

  • You have a passion for software testing and enjoy learning new technologies, as well as apply learnings to daily work
  • You finished your degree (preferably a Master) in system engineering, software - architecture, computer science, information technology, electrical engineering, telematics or similar
  • You have knowledge of: test automation and scripting (e.g. Robot framework, Python, SoapUI, Powershell); testing of distributed and embedded systems; database knowledge and SQL (Oracle, SQLite); creation of documentation like release notes and installation manuals; Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Experience in usability tests is a plus
  • You have basic software development skills and experience with Jira, Confluence, xRay, Jenkins CI, Git and Azure
  • Social competence and good communication skills in English and German
  • An ISTQB or equivalent certification would be an advantage
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30%
