As a DevOps Engineer at Kapsch, you will be responsible for providing ongoing build, deployment, and CI/CD pipeline support for various transportation-related products.
In this role, you will help develop and institute an automated and repeatable CI/CD framework for our software suites. We are looking for innovative thinkers who can architect creative solutions and also identify opportunities for new tools, processes, and systems. You will also bring a fresh perspective on how SDLC should be done from test-driven development to Continuous Integration and Delivery.
Your responsibilities:
Create and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for multiple products.
Develop scripts and code for extensive test and deployment coverage.
Automate processes to improve efficiency.
Create IaC for the deployment of various environments.
Work with development teams across the globe to implement DevOps practices.
Your profile:
Experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Experience with configuration management tools such as GitLab or GitHub
Experience with cloud platforms and services such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
Proficiency with Linux command line, shell scripting, PowerShell
Experience creating infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred)
Experience performing system builds using Maven
Automation experience with at least two configuration and deployment management systems such as Ansible, Jenkins, Puppet, GitLab, GitHub, or Chef
Experience with container management tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, and AKS
Familiarity with programming in languages such as Java, dotnet, Python, or Rust
Experience with container management tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, and AKS
Experience with threat detection, security protocols, security audits, and security scanning tools
Atlassian Tool Suite experience (Jira and Confluence)
Team player with strong troubleshooting skills
Excellent communication skills and documentation skills
Advanced level of English language.
