The Role:
Kapsch TrafficCom North America is seeking resumes for a Field Supervisor position for our CTRMA project in Cedar Park, TX. In this role you will oversee all field activities related to Installations, upgrades, and maintenance of Tolling RF Sub-System as the overall systems technical expert. Job duties include but are not limited to solving more complex problems that are beyond a technician's expertise, reading system schematics, follow specifications to implement and maintain system components; provide training and oversight of field technicians; monitor, inspect and support systems operation, ensure system integrity and operation, provide additional support to project personnel, office staff or client as requested.
This position will be performed outdoors, in tunnels and near freeways/highways, with frequent utilization of scissor lifts, boom lifts, and bucket trucks. All tools and PPE will be provided. This role supports a 24/7/365 operation and requires the willingness and flexibility to support on-call, night and weekend hours based on business requirements. Able to work nights and weekends as required.
Responsibilities:
Supervise technicians and subcontractors performing maintenance, modifications, and repairs of toll RF sub-systems and related equipment
Read plans, schematics, and drawings
Supervises the upgrades, modifications, or replacement equipment
Manage and maintain project and staff schedules
Implement preventative maintenance programs or practices
Does corrective maintenance and repair as needed
Maintains contracted response and resolution times in accordance with contract guidelines
Monitors repairs for timely completion, QA inspections and submits supporting documents to appropriate personnel
Response to and corrects trouble tickets
Tests toll collection systems through physical inspection and electronic test and measurement equipment procedures
Keep track of spare inventory and equipment, yearly inventory audits
Supports Technicians and performs more complex diagnosis of equipment problems with related test equipment and computers
Monitors and performs diagnosis of complex problems involving RF vehicle detection equipment, vehicle ID readers, antennas, RF sources

What we are looking for:
Associate’s degree or 2 years’ trade/technical school training
5 + years in a Field Maintenance or Supervisor role
Linux OS experience
Valid driver license
Good understanding of low voltage AC/DC circuitry
Highly experienced with RF systems, microwave systems and components
Hands on experience utilizing various RF test equipment and excellent troubleshooting skills
Fluent with windows OS and Microsoft office suite
Ability to work at high elevations, outdoors (highway, tollway, bucket truck, boom lifts) and inclement weather
Ability to work in a 24/7/365 environment (Nights, weekends, holidays, on-call basis)
Candidates must have reliable transportation and live within 1-hour of Cedar Park, TX
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds independently.
