Intertraffic Webinar “Digital infrastructure”

Webinar “Digital infrastructure to cater for more data flows”
On 24 November took Christoph Seybold, Solution Consultant EMENA part in the Intertraffic webinar about how digital infrastructure can cater for more data flows.
Christoph Seybold explained how cities can enrich mobility services for citizens with such data collections and present some of real life use cases, a.o. the most present one on signal prediction. Kapsch and TTS (Traffic Technology Services, Inc.) work together in this field. Kapsch has equipped numerous cities around the world with traffic management systems and provides targeted data platforms to cities. TTS provides signal predictions to OEMs to illustrate GLOSA (green light optimal speed advisory) in the dashboards of the vehicles. In agreement with cities, TTS accesses the required signal data directly through Kapsch. In Christoph Seybold´s opinion, “already a low penetration of GLOSA-equipped vehicles smoothens the overall traffic. Fuel consumption and emissions can be reduced by up to 14% a recent study shows.”
