The Role:
Kapsch TrafficCom is seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner. The Sr. Human Resources Business Partner works closely with management in the implementation of corporate policies related to human resources and employee development within the NAM region. Consults with employees and managers to address root causes of human resources issues, attempting to resolve employee relations issues utilizing a defined framework. Participates in driving key HR initiatives (e.g., salary review, performance management, organizational change). Assists senior management in the development of employee-centric solutions that creates a thriving culture.
Responsibilities:
Analyze data and reports to identify and determine trends and develop recommendations for improving the organization's employment policies and practices
Serves as a credible coach and confidante to leadership teams
Provides leadership, guidance, and counsel on matters related to talent, organizational effectiveness/performance, organizational change, employee engagement, succession and leadership development, culture, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
Drives and enables cultural transformation
Partners with Talent Acquisition to fill critical roles in a timely fashion with the best talent
Ability to create an environment of trust with clients where integrity is unquestioned; can effectively utilize negotiation and conflict resolution skills when needed

What we are looking for:
Extensive knowledge of Canadian Legislation (Employment Standards, AODA, OHS, etc.)
Understanding of U.S. federal and state labor law including EEOC, FMLA, and ADA
Strong ability to navigate difficult conversations
Comfortable working through ambiguity
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships cross-functionally
Resourceful and initiative; has an ability to operate with a high degree of autonomy but understands when to escalate

An HR certification
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field
