Kapsch TrafficCom develops smart solutions to make mobility safer, more sustainable and efficient for everybody. We design, build and operate traffic management systems including connected vehicles technology and mobility demand management as well as tolling services for cities, roads, tunnels and bridges around the world. We develop data and video analytics platforms, building on state-of-the-art technologies including AI, machine learning, big data and cloud services to enable the digitalization of mobility.

We are looking for 2 Junior Java Software Engineers to support development activities across all tiers of DYNAC's multi-tiered architecture.

Your responsibilities: 

  • Participating in our Scrum software development process.

  • Developing software changes in Java.

  • Testing and Troubleshooting Java software to resolve defects and to prepare software changes for product-level testing.

  • Following the established Kapsch software development process and procedures for Best Practice software development.

  • Committing to working within a team and helping the team meet clearly defined objectives.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications or similar.

  • Have familiarity with agile development such as Scrum.

  • Have knowledge of software integrated development environments such as Eclipse.

  • At least 1 year of experience with Java Programming Language including concurrent (multi-threaded) programming

  • Spring Application Framework

  • RESTful, SOAP Web Services, JSON

  • Time-critical real-time programming

  • Virtualization technologies

  • GIS/Geospatial Systems

  • High English level. Technical documentation generation.
