Major Responsibilities: As part of the solution center’s database team, work on Oracle Database solutions. Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting existing Oracle stored procedures, as well as managing the entire SDLC from requirements interpretation, design, documentation, coding, review, testing, release, and maintenance for new installations. Focused around reports and data retrieval/updating for both new and existing installations. Design/develop/support custom report creation for clients. Monitor and tune performance. Work on ad hoc reporting and data analysis needs. Process and analyze small and large data sets. Develop complex solutions almost from scratch. Write code, which is scalable, performs well, reads itself and easy to port. Research and fix issues with existing code. Work for a good database and software design and also deliver working code in aggressive timeline. Telecommuting: YES.
Job Requirements: Applicant must possess a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in computer science, Technology, or related field and 4 years of work experience in recent software development, with 2 years of recent PLSQL development. Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with: (1) SQL including aggregation, multiple joins, top row queries, set data manipulation; (2) Relational database in production 24x7x365 environment; (3) Database design experience including data modeling and creation of database objects; (4) SQL and PL/SQL tuning; and (5) Loading data from spreadsheets to Oracle databases.
