The Role:

Kapsch TrafficCom Canada is seeking a Quality Manager for our office in Mississauga. In this role you will be designing, developing, implementing and overseeing the organization's quality, environmental and health and safety programs and procedures to safeguard employees and surrounding communities, meet ISO 9001:2015 requirements and ensure that all facilities are in compliance with regulations.



  • Maintain QMS including development/improvement/updates with support of QMS Administrator

  • Chair and optimize annual QMR meeting

  • Maintain QC functions on the floor with 3 QC inspectors

  • Manage NCR process with Quality Engineers support

  • Manage product audit process and meetings with Quality Assurance Technician support

  • Manage tag RMA analysis and database maintenance with Quality Assurance Technician support

  • Manage RSE depot repair and analysis with Test Engineer support

  • Address customer complaints

  • Work with vendors on quality issues/improvements

Health & Safety

  • Manage H&S policy including development/improvement/updates with support of Stella

  • Co-Chair JHSC with employee member

  • Monitor provincial laws/regulations to ensure compliance

  • Maintain needed training (WHIMIS, ESD, etc.) and testing (lead blood level, hearing, forklift, fire drill, etc.)

  • Manage review of SPS, and ESER


  • Manage KTC CA requirements to meet environmental regulations

  • Monitor developments to regulations/laws for environment

  • Optimize waste streams to minimize impact, reduce land fill

  • Manage hazardous waste disposal (batteries, lead, tags)

  • Find ways to reduce carbon footprint

What we are looking for:

  • Familiar with ISO 9001:2015

  • Familiar with H&S regulations and policies

  • Understand risk management in all areas

  • Ability to lead/manage the quality team

  • Capable of seeing impact and opportunity from quality issues on all parties

  • Work with all departments to ensure issues are resolved and communicated effectively

  • Strong Excel skills with experience in managing large datasets and strong Excel programming

  • Root cause problem solving ability – 5 whys, 8D, DMAIC
