In this role, the Software Engineer will focus on enhancing and creating connected vehicle, cloud-based products that add value to Kapsch clients. This includes designing, developing, maintaining, testing and deploying various software components in cloud infrastructure, documentation, and troubleshooting.
Design software components using object-oriented design principles
Implement software designs through iterative detailed design, code, and unit test cycles
Create monitoring and alerting capabilities for services deployed
Troubleshoot and correct software defects
Produce software documentation following company software process and templates
Participate in software product review meetings and team meetings
Collaborate with other developers and product managers
Use code repositories to ensure transparency in changes

What we are looking for:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or similar required
3+ years of experience as a C++ software developer
Experience using iOS and Android development tools, techniques, and methods for the creation and deployment of mobile applications
Hands-on experience in mobile development using modern techniques and frameworks
Familiarity with container technology such as Docker and Kubernetes
Our top Candidates will have:
Knowledge of distributed messaging systems such as Apache Pulsar or Kafka
Experience with Connected Vehicles (CV) technology and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
Experience with Postgres or other RDMS
