Kapsch CarrierCom presents innovative railway communication solutions at Middle East Rail 2019.

Kapsch CarrierCom will showcase the next generation communication solutions for mission-critical networks at Middle East Rail 2019, from February 26 to 27 in Dubai. Visitors to the event will have the opportunity to learn more about the recently developed PS-LTE and IIoT solutions and can experience the innovative systems in a real-life setting with the Kapsch Driver’s Cabin at booth number C54.

Vienna/Dubai, February 20, 2019 – The expert for GSM-R (Global System for Mobile Communications-Railways) will present its new solutions at Middle East Rail 2019, the largest and most established rail event in the Middle East, North Africa, Central and South Asia.

With the recently developed PS-LTE (Public Safety Long Term Evolution) solution, Kapsch CarrierCom has added IoT (Internet of Things), VNF (Virtualized Network Function) and Asset Management to its portfolio.

The pioneering IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) solution KUBE allows railway operators to transport, collect and visualize mission-critical data in a highly reliable and secure way. The solution makes use of existing GSM-R networks and ensures multimode connectivity for sensors, backhauling and local access, visualized on Android, ioS and Windows devices.

On the first day of the conference and exhibition, Michael Mikulandra, Industry Appliance Next Generation, Kapsch CarrierCom, will talk about the ‘future railway communication system’, discussing its requirements and ongoing activities to define the future system, as well as the role of 5G.

Visitors will have the chance to experience the next generation communication systems through live demonstrations in the Kapsch Driver’s Cabin. For example, a Mission Critical Push-to-Talk (MCPTT) dispatcher terminal, developed and implemented by Kapsch partner Telematix.
