Kapsch TrafficCom develops smart solutions to make mobility safer, more sustainable and efficient for everybody. Major Responsibilities: Manage the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process. Lead the software development team to meet Systems Development Metric Goals. Lead, design, and ideation sessions with customers to elicit requirements in the context of how the company’s Back Office works. Provide technical leadership on Kapsch’s core product development initiatives. Participate in proposal development with a specific focus on the technical response sections. Provide coaching and mentoring for direct reports’ leadership development and career advancement. Understand the project resource needs and match to development pool and make project assignments. Monitor individual employees’ performance and provide timely performance feedback. Conduct Scrum meetings. Work with PMs closely to determine budget vs actual and determine the variance and corresponding actions to rectify. Analyze operational needs and efficiencies and propose solutions that rely on Kapsch’s Back Office capabilities. Direct the work of cross-functional software teams while working with internal Project Management, System Engineers, installation and operations staff as well as external consultants. Have technical ownership in medium to large Design & Build tolling projects. Lead and deliver on the next generation implementation to provide both Technical and Delivery Leadership to the cross-functional teams and help develop better ways to deliver complex projects. Own and drive key interactions with key business and technology stakeholders to assist in developing a delivery approach while also ensuring processes and procedures are followed. Handle escalations of project conflicts/issues with the needed understanding and professionalism. Effectively develop and manage budget aligned for all project delivery across North America. Job Requirements: This position requires 5 years of work experience as a software developer or related occupation. Special Skills: Additionally, the applicant must have professional experience with: 1) Delivering full life cycle of tolling projects, from requirements analysis until implementation and operations; 2) Utilizing Delphi, C# and .NET programming language, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle databases to assist the design phase for the development team in coding, and using tools like Visual Studio, Postman, SOAP UI, FileZilla, SolarWinds and Jaeger; 3) Generating test reports and test plan developments using tracking tools like JIRA, Xray, Confluence, eazyBI, MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint; 4) Leading and coordinating global teams using agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban; 5) Using UML Modelling and visual tools (Enterprise Architect Sparx and Microsoft Visio) to create Data Flows, Activity, Context diagrams, and UX/GUI design utilizing tools such as Balsamiq, SmartDraw, and Draw.IO; and 6) Auditing quality management systems following standards like ISO 9001 – 33000.
