Kapsch TrafficCom develops smart solutions to make mobility safer, more sustainable and efficient for everybody. We design, build and operate traffic management systems including connected vehicles technology and mobility demand management as well as tolling services for cities, roads, tunnels and bridges around the world. We develop data and video analytics platforms, building on state-of-the-art technologies including AI, machine learning, big data and cloud services to enable the digitalization of mobility.
Major Responsibilities: Contribute to image processing software applications. Perform design, implementation, test and maintenance for modules within the greater image processing system. Develop and maintain image processing software applications, and various supporting tools for the image processing application. Responsible for training machine learning models and quantifying performance improvement. Research and apply algorithm improvements for performance enhancement. Develop and maintain framework for training the various machine learning models using python scripting. Perform code reviews with peers, maintain code quality and test frameworks according to development practices. Document and track work progress via software tools such as JIRA and Confluence. Telecommuting permitted.
Job Requirements: Applicant must possess a Master’s degree in Computer Science with a Deep Learning/Machine Learning Focus, or a related field and 1 year of experience in Software Engineering field.
