The Role:

The Technical Operations Support position will operate and maintain our production and development infrastructure and core applications, support our customers and broader engineering teams to deliver the highest quality of service. In this role, you will provide new and existing customers with the best possible service in relation to billing inquiries, service requests, suggestions and complaints.

This position will work on-site at 7701 Metropolis Drive, Austin, TX 78744, and involves shift work. The shift will be 7PM to 7AM and could be either, Monday thru Wednesday with alternating Thursdays or Friday thru Sunday with alternating Thursdays.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy development and production systems within established SLAs

  • Perform operational tasks such as system updates and software upgrades

  • Create and maintain metrics, dashboards and alerts

  • Provide first-level support, and act as primary escalation point for technical issues

  • Manage incidents, conduct root-cause analyses, and author post-mortems

  • Participate in 24x7 on call rotation

  • Performs administrative or specialized support tasks in an office or a field

  • Has working knowledge and skills developed through formal training or work experience

  • Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision

  • Identifies problems and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures and makes sound decisions

What we are looking for:

  • Associate’s degree with at least 1 year of experience in a technology role

  • Basic knowledge of secure computing practices and experience with computers and networking technology

  • Basic understanding of how software interacts with hardware

  • Excellent written  and verbal communication skills

  • Able to work in a team environment

  • Ability to listen effectively and communicate at a professional level

  • Attention to detail, especially when multi-tasking

  • Ability to type 40 WPM

  • Able to work shift work
