Kapsch TrafficCom develops smart solutions to make mobility safer, more sustainable and efficient for everybody. We design, build and operate traffic management systems including connected vehicles technology and mobility demand management as well as tolling services for cities, roads, tunnels and bridges around the world. The Role:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible to oversee a large-scale project(s) including multiple solutions and subcontractors while ensuring that the required scope is delivered in accordance with the contract, schedule and budget. The role is also responsible for maintaining the project P&L and negotiating change orders.
Responsibilities:
Act as the contact for external client and manages customer relationship while reporting on project status
Develop project plans that identify resource and budgetary needs to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes
Manage requirements, issues, and risks to ensure a successful on-time project delivery
Manage suppliers and subcontractors
Provide leadership for the project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to responsibilities and project milestones
Manage the day-to-day project activities and resources and chairs the project team meetings
Seek and evaluate change-requests and administer a Change Control Registry for tracking the submission, coordination, review, evaluation, categorization, and approval for release of all system changes
Manage and document client-driven scope changes; assess impact and initiate appropriate actions such as internal communications, estimate/schedule/work plan revisions, change documentation, and amendment preparation
Manage and document internal contract changes that affect booking, cost, or margin; coordinates with Project Coordinators
Review project and/or operations costs, including accruals, at least on a monthly basis: coordinates with Project Coordinators and the finance department as needed
Validates/revises/updates scope of work and time requirements of the contract
Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues communicating to Kapsch executive management
Manage ongoing quality control and participate in quality issue resolution
What we are looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
5+ years’ Project Management experience including managing Toll system operation projects as a Project Manager, including a Roadside system and a Back-office system design and installation OR
5 + years’ Software Development experience, or related experience OR
10 + years’ Construction management experience, or related experience (heavy civil or large infrastructure Design and Build experience not limited to only construction)
Customer relationship management experience
Experience managing P&L
Risk management experience
Contract & claim management
Experience managing change management activities
Excellent communication, presentation, and communication skills
Our top Candidates will have:
10 + years of tolling system design and project implementation experience, large scale software development and deployment is a plus
Back Office System Management, or similar system deployment (complex software deployment)
5+ years of Strong/Proven Contract Management Skills
Strong Operational and tolling / traffic management experience
Proven communications and leadership skills
PMP or IPMA certification or equivalent qualification Excellent Excel skills
Estimated travel of 25% annually
