1994 

The first commercial multi-lane free-flow toll collection system is installed on the Tauernautobahn in Austria.

1995 

Kapsch awarded contract for the realization of the nationwide Ecopoint System, the world’s first emissions-based traffic management system.

1998/2000 

An electronic single-lane ETC system is installed on the Öresund and Storebaelt bridges connecting Sweden with Denmark. This is the first fully interoperable system to be implemented between two European countries.

1999 

Kapsch acquires the toll collection division of Bosch Telecom Germany.
 
In Switzerland, Kapsch implements the nationwide infrastructure and enforcement systems for the Heavy Goods Vehicle System “LSVA”.
 
The Melbourne City Link is the world’s first multi-lane free-flow toll collection system for stop-and-go urban traffic.

Kapsch acquires Combitech Traffic Systems AB, Sweden.

Kapsch TrafficCom AG established in the course of restructuring Kapsch AG.
 
The first single-lane electronic toll collection system in South Africa is established on the Platinum Toll Highway.

2004 

Austria introduces the national truck road user charging system: the first nationwide multi-lane free-flow system on major highways anywhere in the world.
 
In December, the fully electronic multi-lane free-flow system for Autopista Central, Santiago de Chile begins commercial operation. It extends from north to south through the centre of Santiago, a total of 64 km.

2005 

In Santiago, Chile, Costanera Norte multi-lane free-flow system starts operation on 35 kilometers of urban highway.

Kapsch TrafficCom acquires DPS S.A., Argentina and Chile.
 
Vespucio Norte Express, comprising 30 km of the ring-road around the center of Santiago, with dual and triple lanes, several new bridges and bypasses goes into operation.

2007 

Kapsch TrafficCom is listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange.
 
Kapsch TrafficCom integrates video specialists Artibrain GmbH into its organization.
 
The nationwide electronic toll collection system for the Czech Republic goes into operation after just nine months of preparation time.
 
Kapsch TrafficCom contracted to equip New Zealand’s first fully electronic multi-lane free-flow toll collection system.

Kapsch TrafficCom is awarded contract to equip the North-South Bypass Tunnel in Brisbane, Australia’s longest tunnel.

2008 

Kapsch TrafficCom acquires the assets of the Mobility Solutions unit of TechnoCom Corporation, U.S.A.
 
Kapsch TrafficCom strengthens its involvement in Italy: Partnership with Busi Impianti and founding of the Kapsch-Busi joint venture.
 
In India Kapsch TrafficCom equips National Highway No. 8 with a modern manual/electronic toll system. The central toll plaza with altogether 32 toll lanes is one of the largest toll stations in Asia.
 
In Thailand, Kapsch TrafficCom is contracted to install single lane ETC systems on the Chalerm Maha Nakhon Expressway, the Chalong Rat Expressway, and the Ramindra Outer Ring Project totaling over 55 km.
 
Kapsch TrafficCom joint venture Kapsch-Busi wins City Access Control in Bergamo, Italy and in Cremona, Italy.
 
In Chile, Sociedad Concesionaria Túnel San Cristóbal S.A enters into operation with their 3 km tunnel, using a fully electronic multi-lane free-flow system from Kapsch TrafficCom.

2009 

The South African National Roads Agency Ltd (SANRAL) awards the contract for the implementation and operation of a multi-lane free-flow system in the Gauteng Region to a consortium led by Kapsch TrafficCom. The Gauteng Open Road Tolling (GORT) project is one of the largest of its kind anywhere in the world.
 
Kapsch TrafficCom is awarded the contract for supply and implementation of the multi-lane free-flow system for the sixth urban concession in Santiago de Chile; Acceso Vial Aeropuerto Arturo Merino Benítez.

2010 

Acquisition of 51.43% stake in TMT, RSA. 
 
Kapsch TrafficCom equips the world’s longest bridge in Thailand with a toll system.
 
In Brisbane, Australia, Kapsch TrafficCom is awarded the contract for installation of a fully electronic multi-lane free-flow tolling system on the Airport Link, a four-lane tunnel leading from Brisbane CBD to the Airport.
 
Kapsch TrafficCom announces that its South African subsidiary TMT Services and Supplies (Proprietary) Limited (TMT) has been awarded a contract by the City of Johannesburg to install and thereafter operate an Automatic Fare Collections (AFC) system on their bus fleet worth Rand 175 million (approximately EUR 17.5 million). 
 
Port of Hood River is the first road operator in the United States to deploy an Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) system based on the advanced 5.9 GHz DSRC WAVE technology platform. The installation of the equipment is provided by Kapsch TrafficCom on the Hood River - White Salmon Interstate Bridge, located between Hood River, Oregon and White Salmon, Washington. 
 
Kapsch TrafficCom signs contract for implementation and operation of the nation-wide tolling system in Poland.
 
Kapsch TrafficCom AG, listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange in the prime market segment, successfully placed corporate bonds with a tenor of seven years and a volume of Euro 75 million.
 
Kapsch TrafficCom acquires Mark IV IVHS, the largest supplier of electronic toll collection (ETC) equipment in North America.
