History

In 1984, Kapsch CarrierCom, then called Austria Telecommunication (AT), was established in the form of a 50%-joint venture of the leading Austrian telecommunication companies Kapsch and Schrack. Then, the telecom market was strictly regimented and AT received the order to digitalize the Austrian telephone system.

A lot has changed since then.

Today, the telecom market is open and an enabler of mobility for all. Kapsch CarrierCom has evolved and become a global system integrator and supplier of end-to-end telecommunications solutions. The company is pursuing the mission to shape the path for railway operators and carrier networks as well as for public authorities, public transport operators and  airports to leverage technologies for their specific and often mission-critical communication demands.
