Kapsch CarrierCom's Service Delivery Framework solution is build on a standards based Telco Execution Environment (JAIN SLEE) and is complemented with an IT Applications Server and Media Resource Function, or Media Technologies. It supports, among others, call-control, user-interaction, messaging, as well as presence and charging. The openly programmable platform allows operators to maintain control of their marketing services, service roadmap, and to react quickly to market threats and opportunities.
There are three reasons for choosing the Next Generation IN platform from Kapsch CarrierCom:
Reduction of vendor lock-in
The JAIN SLEE network technology is an open, standards-based approach. Therefore, operators are no longer bound to specific service suppliers who develop and deliver services on single platforms. Thanks to the Application Orchestration Mechanism, operators can better control their service roadmaps and provide a wide range of applications to all customers. A main advantage of the JAIN SLEE technology is application portability, which allows the deployment of compliant services on any JAIN SLEE platform.
Independence of network architecture
JAIN SLEE platforms offer many interfaces to the existing core network infrastructure and abstract these network interfaces for the applications. Using this capability, JAIN SLEE allows Kapsch CarrierCom to develop any voice and data communication capability, and its operation, across any type of voice, data, wireless, wireline or IP network.
Integration of existing IN services
JAIN SLEE is designed to provide a robust NGIN platform, which is 3G and IMS enabled and which allows programmable integration with IN service system protocols. Consequently, JAIN SLEE combines the stability of traditional IN with the flexibility of Telco application servers. It supports existing IN services and the upcoming requirements for new convergent services.
