Vienna/Prague, September 3, 2012 – Kapsch BusinessCom has completed the acquisition of Data Storage s.r.o. By integrating the Czech specialist for solutions in the area of data archiving, migration and disaster recovery Kapsch expands its service portfolio by a further strategically important component and therewith strengthens the presence in CEE.
Kapsch pursues the strategy to further strengthen its market position on the domestic information technology market. The Data Storage deal has further enlarged Kapsch's portfolio of services and fostered its technology base, creating conditions for providing additional benefits to the clients of both companies. As a certified partner of infrastructure providers such as EMC, VMware, HP or Sun Microsystems, Data Storage realizes high complex data management which perfectly completes the infrastructure solutions of Kapsch BusinessCom. "This transaction will allow us to take another step forward to expand our portfolio of services. New chances for customers and employees
Ever since it was founded by Libor Koudela in 1998, Data Storage has been continuously improving its position in its specialized market segment. As the importance of backup and storage of large data volumes increased, the company’s revenues developed accordingly. Data Storage currently has over 200 customers from both the public and private sectors. "I'm very happy to see that our new owner is Kapsch. Additionally, he is responsible for infrastructure products and services in the management team of Kapsch BusinessCom. The full integration of Data Storage in the structures of Kapsch will be completed by the end of the current fiscal year.
