History

In 1982, Kapsch CarrierCom, then called Austria Telecommunication (AT), was established in the form of a 50%-joint venture of the leading Austrian telecommunication companies Kapsch and Schrack. Then, the telecom market was strictly regimented and AT received the order to digitalize the Austrian telephone system.

A lot has changed since then.

Today, the telecom market is open and an enabler of mobility for all. Kapsch CarrierCom has evolved and become a global manufacturer and independent system integrator of telecommunication solutions for railway operators and providers of fixed, mobile, transportation and access networks.
