DataXtender from Kapsch CarrierCom is a tool for analyzing call detail records (CDRs) from GSM, GPRS and UMTS networks. In addition to this, it can also handle data from other different sources (e.g. SS7 networks, IN and MSC log files, TAP records, etc.). Some of the main functions of DataXtender include proactive monitoring & troubleshooting, performance analyses and billing checks. These are activities that typically belong to the network and/or operational areas of service providers. It also enables reports that cover a time span of several months due to memory capacity in the terabyte range.
